Reverse Logistic Association is a growing trade association in need of a RLA BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (BDM).

Job Overview: The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing the growth of the RLA membership and conference attendance. The BDM will sell product by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects. In addition, the BDM is responsible for strengthening relationships with current members. The BDM will assist in acquiring sponsors for RLA conferences and seminars. Position is remote with the flexibility of full or part time hours.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Manage current member relationships, ensuring yearly renewals, while growing new memberships by clearly articulating and delivering membership value
Actively sell all association membership levels
Actively promote sponsorship opportunities to new and existing members for all conferences and seminars
Sponsorship opportunities include but are not limited to member speaking opportunities, member exhibition space, etc.
Assist in improvement of the RLA brand through exposure of social media, networking platforms, etc.
Other duties commensurate with experience

The ability and desire to sell and meet both individual and team-based goals
Commitment to travel to conferences and regional seminars
Strong verbal and written communication skills
A positive, confident and determined approach
Resilience and the ability to cope with rejection
A high degree of self-motivation, ambition and persistent
The skills to work both independently and as part of a team
